Olá! Vamos conversar. Muito is one word in English. In Portuguese it has four shapes, and they show up everywhere.

As an adverb

Before adjectives or verbs, muito does not change. Muito bonito. Muito cansada. Comi muito. The form stays fixed.

As an adjective

Before nouns, muito agrees in gender and number. Muito tempo. Muita comida. Muitos amigos. Muitas ideias.
